San Francisco-based artist Jeremy Fish creates three fairytale world graphics inhabited by all things cute and slightly creepy.

Buck You   The Hunter
The Last Duel

VENICE, CA: Blik, the innovative maker of self-adhesive surface graphics, announces a spanking new collaboration with the "King of North Beach" illustrator and artist, Jeremy Fish. Jeremy created three iconic designs for Blik's growing line of fine art partnerships. The artist comes to Blik via progressive art brand Upper Playground.

Born in upstate New York, Jeremy moved to San Francisco 16 years ago for skateboarding and to attend the San Francisco Art Institute. Since then his work has appeared everywhere from galleries to legal (illegal) walls, newspapers, magazines, books and skateboard decks. Jeremy's first museum exhibition, Weathering the Storm just wrapped at the Laguna Art Museum to rave reviews.

As a child of the 70's and pop culture, Jeremy's early artist influences ranged from Dr. Seuss, Richard Scary to Hanna Barbara cartoons. Jeremy's mom was a teacher and he was raised with what he calls "a ridiculous library of children's books." That element of pop culture comes through in his work and his alternate, fairytale world inhabited by beavers, skulls, and birds.

Jeremy's elemental designs in "The Last Duel", "Buck You" and "The Hunter" for Blik serve as a personal narrative on pop culture and society. "The Last Duel" was originally from his "The Ghosts of the Barbary Coast" show based on Jeremy's collection of true stories from San Francisco in the Barbary Coast days of 1850. While "Buck You" is a refreshingly subversive concept mixed with graffiti humor. "The Hunter" is a humorous take on our basic human needs and the fight for survival. All of the graphics are available online at Blik.
