Our newest wall graphic is full of fantasy, drama, and beauty - let "Breathe" take your breath away.

Breathe  $75

VENICE, CA: Blik, the innovative maker of self-adhesive surface graphics, is pleased to introduce the newest addition to its line of fine artists, Sarah Joncas. The Toronto-based artist created "Breathe" for Blik, a whimsical piece that exudes beauty, drama and was inspired by the Pink Floyd song of the same name.

"Breathe" has an underwater theme that exudes a moody, yet peaceful atmosphere. A closer look reveals Sarah's intricate details including floating ice cream cones, money signs, lamps and fish. The doodle work and the fish are trademark symbolism from her paintings.

"I chose to introduce Breathe to Blik because I felt it had the most potential of becoming a dynamic image that could be used within a home, unlimited by the frame of a canvas," said Joncas. "The image is both playful, as well as dramatic. The inspiration behind a lot of my work comes from an anime/video game/cartoon/art history sort of background - balancing between a fine art and a low-brow perspective."

Blik co-founder Scott Flora explains how Blik began collaborating with Joncas. "I have been a fan of Sarah's since a friend introduced me to her work a few years ago," said Flora. "Adding Sarah to our line of fine artist collaborators is a natural fit and "Breathe" is a striking piece that can completely alter the mood of a space."

Breathe will be available online at Blik on September 1st for $75

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Sarah Joncas was born in 1986 and grew up in Hamilton and Niagara Falls, Ontario. Her interest in the visual arts developed at an early age, starting with the dedicated drawings of dinosaurs and lizards. Eventually the study and enjoyment of working from existing images stirred up the need in Sarah to create images of her own; ones that could reflect the world, yet also appease the personal feelings/ideas that she herself maintained. With this, her direction changed gradually from the world of animation, towards a path in fine art. Sarah is currently working and finishing up her BFA at the Ontario College of Art and Design, in Toronto. To see more of artwork, visit www.teapartylove.digitalinkz.com
