At Nelson Chan’s office, they don’t just have a living room, they have a “living room lounge.” We think that sounds so much cooler. Even cooler is that the lounge boasts four Blik graphics: Tripod Light, Citrus, Agave and Me, Myself & I.

According to Nelson, they used Blik to match the primary colors and natural tones of the furniture in the area. He says it’s the favorite place in the office for everyone to relax, exchange the next big idea or come together for social gatherings. Look! They even branded the space with our logo on the potted plant next to the sofa.

According to Craww, the C.A.V.E. Gallery show was loosely based around a theme of threads. Not so much of a hard concept, but as a unifying theme. Rise and Fall are an extension of that process, but with their own direction. Fall is directly related to the painting Faith, but took a different vibe when it was transformed into a wall graphic. Rise was an answer to the new feel of the revisited work, Fall. Craww intended for Rise and Fall to complement each other.

In true Craww fashion, he continues his themes of loss and longing with twisting, floating muses. A dynamic mix of elegance, balance and disciplined chaos. Rise and Fall explore the concept of fate, governed by threads that lead from start to end – threads that bind us to our destiny and threads that ultimately release us.

The new collection at Blik marks the introduction of FUNBUS, a new division of Dan Golden Studio.

How does he come up with this stuff?
“In Days Stuck in This Room, Don’t Let Your Cat Near This Dude, Hole to Another Universe and View Out Plane Window, I found it fun to explore 2D vs 3D space, and play with several ideas that interest me, like alternate universes, giant red-eyed, cat-eating mice, old Twilight Zone episodes and our quotidian existence.” Want to know more about Dan’s inspiration? What’s a FUNBUS? Can we get a ride on it?
Many of Dan’s favorite childhood memories are of family trips taken in a funky white van with the word “FUNBUS” printed in colorful letters on the back. Those days (and the bus) are long gone, but the spirit remains; lo-fi and authentic.

Patrick Hruby fans listen up. Patrick is back at Blik with the Imaginary Forest wall decal. We recently sat down with the LA-based illustrator for a quick conversation about the new graphic, growing up in a log cabin and his heroes. Like Imaginary Castle, the graphic is available in two sizes: small and large.

Blik: What inspired Imaginary Forest?
Patrick Hruby: I was born in Los Angeles, but I grew up in a log cabin on 20 acres of forest in Idaho. I did the forest scene for myself originally. It was self-medicating.

Blik: Why a forest?
PH: Drawing forests is peaceful for me. It’s one of the last places that’s still magical, beautiful and wild.

Blik: Who were your heroes growing up?
PH: Mary Blair and Kay Nielsen.
