We admit that we were SO excited to see our own Scott Flora on the cover of last Saturday’s Los Angeles Times Home section. So excited that we forgot to add the story to our blog. Well, better late than never!
The story (written by the awesome Lisa Boone) takes a look at Scott’s sunny Venice cottage and looks at how he uses his space as a test kitchen for new Blik designs. Although it may be small, the walls of the house get quite a workout. We’ll let Scott describe living in a design lab:
“The graphics allow me to keep one eye on what we’re doing as a company, while enjoying my life at home,” he said. “I don’t need to think deeply about them each day, but by having our works around me, I do consider how a particular piece makes me feel over time.” He asks himself: Do I still like this design? Would I prefer to change it? How do others react when they see it? Or do they not react at all. If it works for me,” he said, “it very well may work for others.”
